There are pre-race, new member and gone as far as I know and I'm not sure how each works exactly.. Can someone explain how they work?

As I understand it:
Pre-race: all WU's produced before the race actually began isn't counted. jan1 both teams started with 0 WU's.
New members: works much the same way.. the WU's that they brought with them isn't counted.. Only the new WU's as a team member counts.
gone: they take all their WU's with them except for the ones done during their stay in the team.. those still count towards the race.
At least thats how I understand it. If I'm wrong someone plz correct me 🙂

Gundog you have it almost totally right.

The only difference is that if someone leaves their WUs generated from before the race stay. The ones generated during the race leave.

New member- When a new member joins with pre-existing WUs the WUs he brings with him do not count towards the race totals. So therefore those WUs must be subtracted from the race totals. This prevents one large member from joining either team, like T1 and D1, and having that alone win the race for that team.

Gone- When a member leaves he takes his WUs with him so thso WUs must be added to the total to get the team back to the point it was before the race started. Unless of course that member froduced more WUs during the race than he did before the race. In that case WUs are added back on. This again is to prevent a big member from leaving either team and therefore causing that team to lose the race.

Pre-race- These are WUs that a member dumped that were determined to be produced before the start of the race and therefore do not count towards the total for the race.
