Trailer with "actual gameplay footage".

Wow. I hadn't even heard of this game. It is from the same devs that did DiRT. This is looking really really nice.

This is for the 360 and PS3 and will support 12 players online.

where is the actual gameplay footage?

all i saw was a video that looks like it COULD be from a replay mode or a video that was definitely either completely CGI or touched up post render.

That's why I put the quotes in there. They say "actual gameplay footage" in the trailer but who knows.

If the actual gameplay includes doors getting ripped off and cars losing wheels in wrecks, that would be mighty impressive for a sim racer.

Wow! If that actually is "in game footage" I will definitely give this game my attention. That looks stupendous!

from the maker of TOCA series - TOCA 3 is still the best racing sim IMO, beats FM2 in terms of physics, damage models, varieties of races, etc.

The first time I saw pics of DiRT I nearly crapped myself. In reality it wasn't as nice but still gorgeous. I wouldn't be surprised if it looks good.

It's supposed to be more...arcadey though. No upgrading/tweaking cars.

Still, might be interesting.

Another video - this one is definitely in-game.

More

Looks veryy good. I'm guessing it will fall in between Forza and PGR in terms of customizing/tuning your car and being a sim vs arcade? Hard to tell. Liked the dragging bumper though.

You can tell by the way the cars are handling it is not a true simulation racer. Does look to be closer than PGR though.

I read a writeup on gamespot about the game, they said the developers were making it so that there is as little tuning as possible to encourage people to go race instead of tinker. Don't remember when it was posted, I think it's the first Gamespot writeup on GRiD.

What I really like about this game is that they're adding different types of racing (Touring Car, Drifting, GT, etc.) instead of just plain old street cars. I enjoyed Forza 2 for a few months but it really got old after awhile. Not to say it's a bad game, there just wasn't enough variety to keep things interesting. I will definitely be picking this one up for the PC.

Racing tips?? This game isn't out yet and the tips would depend on the game.

Ya might wanna make a new topic about it then, this is a post about a game that's not even out yet...
