kapowww! kapowww! I just looked at my wife and said, "well, someone's shooting something in the neighborhood." Phone rang, neighbor called to say her husband had just shot a fox who had one of our rabbits.

neighborhood fox population -1

Unfortunately, there were 2 foxes; one got away. Doubly unfortunately, it'll be back. Hopefully one of us shoots it before it gets another rabbit or a chicken.

Given that our neighborhood is overrun with rabbits, I'm rooting for the fox.

I love to eat rabbits. Can I hunt in your neighborhood?

You're not downtown are you?

I think he raises rabbits (or has them as pets). Still rooting for the fox?

When the great whatever brought forth the animals onto the land, each was given a a great work to perform. To rabbits, that work was to be eaten.

I heard guys saying at my Bullseye league on Tuesday that fox pelts are going for $75 around here (SE Michigan/NW Ohio).

There aren't many fox around here, which is probably why.

Ya need to deploy some traps. I've got one set up on the back of my lot right now for raccoons.

Holy cow! I didn't realize the price of fox hides was that high these days... it had a beautiful hide; I considered taking it to skin it for a moment. We have a ton of them in this area; while dropping my son off at his girlfriends house a couple weeks ago, I saw 4 or 5 of them crossing the road in various locations in a span of 4 miles.

Hmmm.... $75 each?? I could probably get a bunch of them if I hunted them.
