LOL Newegg pulled a fast one on everyone. They have had the Sapphire card in stock all along. It is instock right now but only if you buy it in a bundle with an asus mboard and amd fx 9590 cpu. look at that bundle and it says instock at every step of the purchase process.

Yeah I notice that.

Only way to sell those FX CPUs. Oh well there will be plenty of them with time.

In a month or so. That's the caveat to that. But I bit, so I will report back if it gets cancelled or not. Or if I decide to cancel and pick up a 980ti instead.

Wow, $550 is dumb on their part. They must have read the [H] reviews...

Just check order again, now shows on hold and price is $679. TD should just cancel order on price mistake, not change invoice price after sending order confirmation email with lower price and customer placing call to confirm payment details.

Sneaky Tiger Direct at its best. :awe:

Really pathetic CS from them. Its quite sad how few vendors we have that can be relied on for pc components......I stick almost exclusively to amazon/newegg with pretty good results.

Pretty sad how much stock AMD had built up for this launch considering how late and overdue it is.

Classic bait and switch. They deliberately put that $550 price up there, knowing that they wouldn't honor it. Too bad, too, they would have sold out regardless soon enough.

Here, in Poland the cheapest version of Fury X is around 810$. GTX 980 Ti is almost 950$.

Edit. I've checked the rest of lineup of prices. They are pretty much eye-watering...

Imagine this. GTX980 Anniversary edition costs 20$ less than Fury X, here.

A lot of stock in and out of availability today on Amazon and Newegg. Mostly Sapphire on Newegg and XFX on Amazon.

Mine should finally arrive this week

sam - newegg and amazon had a lot of stock in and out yesterday. keep your eyes open today and you should be able to grab one without a combo

if you are in the US - Best buy has the XFX in stock now though for $50 premium

I am in the US only for few days and have delayed this trip for over a month and a half just to be here at launch. I really want to get a unit before I leave. If someone can share this bundle with me he can also test it for me. Btw I have a few questions.
Amazon charges a lot of taxes. The total reaches 699. I can buy for that price from best buy. How much did you pay? Other websites do not charge any taxes? I saw their sales tax policies. They only charge taxes when products are delivered to certain states.

Sam - USA policy is you only pay taxes if the online retailer has a physical building presence in the state the product is shipped to. Amazon has facilities in quite a few states these days so if you are in one of those they add tax right at checkout (thought not if the item is sold by 3rd party seller)

Best buy also will charge taxes since they are a physical retailer all over the country. Newegg would be your best bet to avoid taxes from the big players as they only have a few facilities around the country in California, New Jersey, and Tennessee I believe.

I paid $649 MSRP for a Sapphire unit from Newegg.

Bestbuy price is competitive if you can find a 10% off movers coupon :)

I'm tempted but waiting for now at least. Would prefer to see a driver update or two 1st. Next would be initial launch stock depleted to increase chances of no pump noise.

It works out about the same if you are a Best Buy member and use their in-house Credit card.

Often I'd get back almost 15% back from their stupid deals. This qualifies for 5% back from using in-house CC, and then you get the additional points on top of that.
5% from CC == $30
Then 1.5 pts for My Best Buy Members == 900 pts
@250 pts per $5 == $15
You end up paying $655 before taxes.

And that doesn't include any other promotional offers you can find. Shoot, I found buying console games cheapest from Best Buy if you're a My Gamer Club member or whatever that thing is called. But that's for another sub-forum anyways haha.

$699 - 10% = $629 before taxes. I opt for interest free then pay off at my leasure. This approach is better for me as I'll sell off my current gpu and some other xtra hardware to offset my upgrade cost.

Hoping a decent driver update comes soon.

To new jersey or Minnesota? NH is? New Hampshire?

Yes, New Hampshire.

Oh, I wasn't saying scoring a coupon isn't a better deal. More so, being a regular Best Buy customer affords you savings that bring the card down to normal other vendor prices.
