R8500dv AIW - No Half-Life OpenGL

ATI won't support this issue, they have abandoned me... any help would be appreciated.
When I try to execute any half-life based game in OpenGL or 3dFX it only shows the game in the upper left corner of the screen. All drivers and games are fully updated, DirX 8.1, running WinXP on 1.8Ghz Pentium machine.

that shouldn't be happening... it was working for me before I reformatted lastnight. It could be a problem with the game install. I know that something similar like that happened to me, but it was fixed after uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

I have tried different installations with no luck, but will try anything again. Thanks

It's a bug and sierra should have the fix. It's funny. I bough a 8500LE, and it came with TFC/CS. But i intalled the card and used my old install of half-life and it wouldn;t work. Found out there's a fix for ati cards.
