This sounds like a great upgrade from my Geforce 6600! :D

Oh, wait... I'll need a new power supply - that shouldn't be a problem. Oh, and I'll need a bigger case (one almost has to have an extended ATX case for these new cards) - never mind, I'll pass on this round. :(

You may need to alert the electric company before installing, otherwise brown-outs may occur.

I withhold all judgements until final shipping versions are officially released. This card does seem like a beast on paper though. Anyone else think the name is a little redundant?

That's actually the plan for lower cost systems and some OEM sectors I believe.

two power connectors on that thing...yikes.

I can't wait to see some performance numbers to be able to some price / performance calculations... especially including electricity costs ;)

First time I've heard this information about the R600. I'll probably pick one up or one of the cheaper versions when they come out.
