R600 to be named x2800?

Guess it means ati will release a midrange card called the x2800. :beer:

Has the high end R600 part been officially designated "X2900" by AMD?

I see people throwing around "X2900" but I dont think I've ever seen anything official that calls it that.

X2800 would be the logical name because if they call it X2900 what are they going to call the refresh? X2950??

Naming R600 "X2800" would be more appropriate given ATI's last generation of GPUs (X1800/X1900).

I don't care what they call it, just release the damn video card already! The longer AMD delays the r600, the more likely it is to be replaced with a refresh part sooner than later, so they might as well keep with the tradition and call it the x2800.
