Feature wise it did. Took ATI nearly 2 years to fully catch up.

That was expected out of both the G80 & R600 (Although still cool), however I still think there is something more coming regarding this wacky new stream processor setup.

G80 has blown ATI out of the water??? umm R600 its competition hasn't even come out yet...

4 cards is ridiculous. 2 cards is ridiculous in most cases.

adding a second card gives you about a 60% performance boost. Adding two more cards on top of that will probably give you a 20% increase over dual GPU.

I think we're seeing the point of diminishing returns. . The answer is not to spend $2400 on four video cards, but for Nvidia and ATI to spend some time to make a good quality product that people can afford.

Not having FSSAA is not a IQ sacrifice is just a feature that isn't implemented yet, probably due to driver issues. As a matter of fact, G80 is the best IQ gpu right now. Better AF, very efficient AA modes, AA+HDR is taken a step further supporting 128bit HDR..You know all these
I do care a lot about FSSAA and I understand the way you say it, but I wouldn't call it a sacrifice..It's unfair for such IQ levels in a gpu
