Dude, tech-nuts have been speculating/flaming/trolling/praying/bitching etc. since November 8th, 2006 - the day G80 opened up a can of major whoopass. Have you seen the craziness spawned by those Dailytech benches? Some people are pretty emotional about this stuff. Official word from major sites can finally restore some sanity - even if only for a short while.

Why do we need to stay up and lose sleep to see numbers that we already see with a GTX/GTS.
Lower prices.

And I also want to beat Wreckage at starting the first R700 speculation thread - and it would be kinda dumb to do that without R600 in stores. :p

Dear god, i hope so.

I am so tired of the delays & waiting & BS.

Just frickin' release the damn official numbers already & get the cards on shelves.

I don't care how it performs anymore; i just want some damnned competition to nV so we can see some better pricing...

ATI's site is not down for me. But it's still showing X1900, no HD2900. :(

Yeah, welcome to the new world of DRM. Apparently, it has something to do with Digital Rights Management. I might be wrong but I know I don't have a sound card. And since I just got a pair of JBL Duet speakers, I'm glad.

I might be looking at the R630. w00t!

Uhm, I believe it is simply passing through audio related to HDMI. To actually build an entire proper soundcard into a GPU would be a stupid waste of space and time.

I probably have my info mixed on that one. But, maybe you can blame theinquirer.net for that. :D

Something very odd is going odd though. Try doing a search for video cards on newegg. I clicked on video cards and got accessories. I tried clicking on the link next to it and it wouldn't work.

I believe the NDA lifts on the 14th or 15th of May when they launch the card.

I don't know about you dude, but I think the signal AMT/ATI given us lately hasn't been too good. I dare to say their R600s not too good at least at the high end. They've been keeping bechmarks concealed, if they are top notch parts I think they'd be doing the opposite and leak a ton of benchmarks by now.

They dont leak things. Do you see leaked drivers twice a week like NV? Nope.
