R580? worth the wait?

just curious - is waiting for R580 worth it? I'm building a system in the next week or so: opty 165, x1900xt, Dfi ultra-d, enermax liberty 500w, etc. And I'm wondering if I should wait 2 weeks to pick up an R580 board (if they'll even be out by then). What are the bonuses? And is it worth it buying a board before there is time for it to go through the debug/driver stabilization process?

Honestly, unless you plan on XFiring graphic cards, I suspect there will be minimal benefits to you. For that matter, I suspect there is minimal difference in performance between the Nforce4 and R480 boards that are out now unless you plan on overclocking very heavily.

They are known to be the kings of overclocking for socket 939, so if you want to overclock then waiting won't hurt. ;) I know I'm waiting. :D

how are they "known" if they're not even out? Not many people can have tested them, can they?

Anand's review spoke highly of the Asus R580 board.

I'm considering one for my eventual PCI-E upgrade, though a non crossfire cheaper version would suit me.
