It's pretty easy to make wild speculations about a product that doesn't exist and hasn't shown even the first signs of appearing any time soon. At this point, the "G71" is nothing but a gleam in your eye and a wet spot in your shorts. You know nothing about it or how it might perform... nobody here does. You feel so threatend by ATI's R580 that you need to create these grand illusions in your mind of how great the "G71" is going to be. Get over it man, ATI is top dog for now.

Edit: Notice that I put quotes around "G71" because at this point in time it's nothing but a vaguely rumored product.

funny this thread should be ressurected now that we have actual benchies

i've also noticed everybody reffers to the 1900xt as just that, not the R580 anymore... seems people start calling codenamed products by their production names once the name's officially been announced. even if comparing to a still codenamed future product. (like 1900xt vs G71 instead of 1900xt vs 7900gtx.)
