Yes! The RADEON 9800 Pro is what I've been waiting for all along: a higher clocked Radeon 9700 Pro with 2 texture units per pipeline!:)

As far as i know, from several news sites, such as rage3d, the 9800 does not have 2 TMUS, its just an OC`d 9700PRO.
375-400mhz core
700mhz memory.

Yeah, as much as I would love to get one, I think I might pass this time around. Other than clock speed, it really doesn't offer any significant advantages over my overclocked 9700 Pro. What I have is more than enough for anything out there now, even Unreal2. Since there's no telling when Doom III will be out, I'm going to worry about it.

I'm finding the 9600 more interesting. A .13 part, which should retail for $199 and could be a bit faster than a current 9500Pro.

Umm, are you drunk? 'Cause your spelling is atrocious. ;)

Sounds good, not that I can afford one, but that it will lower prices of other cards I want. :D

<rubs hands with glee>

I don't think I'm the only one waiting for this card. The 9700 Pro is excellent but the 9800 Pro will be even better.

Heh. :)

I am hoping they get out within 30 days so the price will drop on the current cards.

Heard the drop was to be somewhere in the range of $75-100
