Then look at the link and picture. The picture is obviously doctored, but do you think that there is any credibility to the article? By the way don't bother signing up to download the picture, it is in the thread (just click on the other pages).

I think it's been pretty much been established that the whole MAXX issue is a fake. There's just no logic in ATi going down that path in light of the R300 being a single chip solution.

I read somewhere that they found some hint in the the newest beta drivers (6107) that there might be a dual RV250 board, however it wouldn't be a product for killer gaming performance it would most likely be to compete with the dual GF4 MX boards used in workstation environments. The dual GPU boards would be used to run 4 monitors, not doubling performance.

That makes a lot more sense!

But I still doubt the intent of the owner of Tweak Town and his claim that the info was leaked from ATI as being the R250.
