Eh? Which idiot made the contract for this game, in that, you can only use the assets for X amount of time?
They then also pull the website for this game? Screw all the MP people (well, what was left of them).
Thanks Ubi!

“Due to the expiration of licensing rights over certain military items within the game, R.U.S.E is no longer available for purchase," Ubisoft tells us. "This does not, in anyway, affect players who already have the game in their library.”

This isn't that unusual its happened with other games. Current owners are not effected, I doubt they are selling all that many.

right, you'll sell more games by making them more "exclusive" (which in digital world of today means not available)

This pretty much means it dies out its digital life, and will never be on GOG.
Then people pirate this game to get it.

Why does anybody have to license military items if the taxpayers paid for them?

RUSE pretty much sucked anyway

Not at all. I had a ton of fun playing with a friend vs. other people online. It's one of those games which gone unnoticed but deserved more attention than say... "The Division", which is a shallow piece of crap.

i *think* i got it free, with my 8800gts? or some other product that it came bundled with.

played it about a week before i found out the key tactics and decided it was a poorly designed RTS with very nice graphics.
