Just found it on AP news He was only 57. No cause of death, just said died peacefully beside his wife. Bummer, he wasn't my favorite rapper but I liked him, good sense of humor and human-element in a lot of his music.

edit: posted in OT since P&N is mostly political...this dude wasn't political

Who............cares? Just another rapper gangster drug addict!

We wish condolence threads to remain more high minded, despite how you may feel about the person who passed. This is your one zero point infraction.

Wikipedia says this...

On July 1, 2021, rumors of his death circulated on Twitter. His representative told Rolling Stone, "The news of Biz Markie's passing is not true, Biz is still under medical care, surrounded by professionals who are working hard to provide the best healthcare possible."[35]

On July 16, 2021, Markie died from diabetes related complications.[36]

I never heard of him.

The 80s killed my desire to listen to pop. They played a short clip of that on the radio, and it sorta sounded vaguely familiar, but not really.

RIP.... I knew of him, semi-familiar with his music (if you can call Rap that, I think that you can). Had some decent talent.

Too young!
