Some 80's Rick James protege that no one cared about anymore, at least until she died.

She had 4 Grammy nominations and most of her albums did pretty well. She released one in 2009 that broke the top 20. To say nobody cared about her's pretty crazy, she might not have been popular in a Lady Gaga sense. But she had a big & loyal following.

Sad lost. Very good R&B singer. She was a cutie too. I remeber many nights hanging out with some of my women I would listen to Teena Marie on WDAS. Tough loss and only 54.
