As I was the Harbinger that Identified these issues upon Anandtech and other forum's I can tell everyone here that while my Campaign to get the word out was met with shill action, and obvious hostility from the usual malcontents....

Monarch Computer became totally disfunctional today, as no Phones were being answered, and even Tech Support was Dead.

We can only hope that the New Ownership is better aligned with their customers. They are at the bottom of a huge sand pit...

It was sad to watch Richard "Trey" Harris run the place into the dirt...

I was trying to warn the Buying Public.... that this was not flying straight..... Even Forum Moderators were wondering what my Agenda was.... I stuck to my Guns.... and it now appears that Kate Smith is stepping up to the Microphone as we speak.....

Anyone that has Issues with Monarch Computer Read This !!

Mr Fox has raised some valid arguments in his short time here, but unfortunately his vainglorious and condescending ways don't sit well with most folks.

What Monarch was doing was borderline Criminal... I had nothing to do with Monarch's behavior there... I was not a part of their management team.

I don't see the harm in posting this in GH. There is a lot of discussion on where to buy parts in this forum, and if what the OP says is true, it's much better everyone knows, rather than bury it in OT where many of us don't ever bother venturing.

Does Bill O'Reilly have an account on these forums?

At the top of this website it says 'Anandtech your source for hardware analysis and news'. This is my first time visiting this site. You guys are only analyzing each other! Mr. Fox is the only one providing information about Monarch Computer Systems.
I just got nailed by Monarch, and I was wondering what the deal was. I placed an order on Nov 20th for a couple of systems totalling over $2800, and after a couple of automatic emails, heard nothing. I called last week and got infinite hold. I called today and the phone says they are 'closed'. Of course, their website does not reveal such critical info. I went to Reseller Ratings to see the bad news, then checked here.

I had such good experiences with Monarch in past years. They were a paragon of computer builders. I guess I should have checked the forums first. It's such a shame that you cannot just count on a company's reputation, that you have to keep checking to see if someone ruined the company or not.

Regarding Mr. Fox's tone, perhaps he is a bit defensive, but if you have ever been screwed by a company, your tone might be more strident than his. He is doing a service. We NEED to know the actual state of these companies, and it is hopefully forums like these that can provide the 'inside skinny' on what is actually going down inside a company. That was what I was seeking when I came here. THAT is what will make companies more honest, and that is one of the great promises of the Web as an information resource.

I realize that you have to discipline members that do not show correct netiquette, but my recommendation is to stick to the knitting and provide info about vendors.

OP, I Appreciate your Random capitalization of Words within your Sentences. I am also proud you can type so well while simultaneously patting yourself on the back. Keep up the fantastic work.

Monarch Computer (www.monarchcomputer.com) seems to be not taking orders (or at least not filling them). The website is up, but apparently nobody's home.

Their ResellerRatings ranking has tanked over the last few months, with tons of negative comments (orders not shipped, refunds not issued, poor/no communication, the usual).

OP apparently saw this coming in advance and now feels compelled to post about how prescient he was.

It looks as though you have saved some people alot of money Mr Fox. Anyone tha has ordered recently and not received their products, or received the wrong or defective products, are out of luck. Monarch is shutdown.

I too have warned people about Monarch, but I did not do it with the commitment that you did. I say well done Mr Fox.

It was the pressure of the Market that killed them.....

Care To elaborate Oh Wise one?

They tried to operate with physical inventory, and any good big E-tailer has been drop shipping directly from their distributors... using generic packageing, and distributed warehousing. Then the websites are tied into the distributors for stock info etc.

That dynamic alone has thinned out E-tailers in general.

There are now ten major E-tailers... where there used to be fifty.

Small operators are now forced into Niche's that are keeping them going.
