When my father passed last year it was almost the same thing. Recovering after a bypass, then one day in recovery is heart just stopped. Before going to the rehab hospital, they went in to drain some fluid from his lungs, they didn't realize they clipped a vein inside him. He was left unattended on a gurney for quite some time and almost bled to death right there.
 
RIP and yes your mother will be in my thoughts. I'm so close to my parents I don't even want to think of the day. 🙁
 
Im sorry for your loss. Its a dufficult time to be in for sure. I lost my dad when i was 13 and I can tell you its never easy no matter what age. Dont try to be strong and hold it in that will just make it more painful. Be there for your mother and your siblings you will all make it through this together.

Your family is in my thoughts.
 
Sorry to hear, I lost my father last feb.

Be on the look out for depression in your mother, the sorrow she feels can be overwhelming for her.
 
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Lost my Uncle just this morning and my Dad 1.5 years ago. I know it is tough but is does eventually get better.
