hello. I was looking around on eBay and I came across an auction for the Tamiya Hotshot R/C model. it had 20 bids and was up to $162. I have one laying around in my parent's house, and I want to know how "vintage" the Tamiya Hotshot really is. I believe it is from the early 80's or so, although I don't know the exact date. all I know is that it's old as hell.
so here are my questions.
1. how is this R/C car considered vintage and when was it released and how much was it when it was released?
2. why is it sought after?
3. is it worth selling it (since it's just collecting dust) or should I keep it and try to get in the R/C scene?
details would be great. I'm really surprised an old 'worthless' toy of my dad's is going for quite some money.
thanks
