so I bought memory not on the vender list of my motherboard : Asrock Z 68 extreme 4....then realized its not on the list...was actually looking at different board prior to buying....will be doing slight over clock at best, should I get memory that is on list? I purchased 8 gig of Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

if anyone wants to know Asrock answered a e-mail and stated the memory will work fine on the board🙂
 
I sometimes use the memory configurators on the memory manufacturer's website because by the time I buy motherboards, usually I think they've been on the market for a while and I often can't even find the memory in the motherboard manual. I don't know if it was just bad luck that I had or if it happens often. The memory manufacturer can help you with settings and voltage .
