Not that I place much credence in the quizzes results.... but according to this particular one: 3 to 4.5 is considered middle ground (3.75 to be precise) or where people break bread. The outskirts or extremes is where everyone else hangs and hides.

"Within normal limits; an appropriate score for an American. (The overall average score for groups tested in the original study is listed in the 1950 publication as 3.84, with men averaging somewhat higher and women somewhat lower.)"

The reason I found it so funny, was because he had called me a Republican Oil Thug. The irony is because I am more liberal in an pointless test.

To be fair, it does not seem like anything more than fun, and thats how I took it. There is also a 2nd irony, as the person who is in the middle, and willing to "break bread" is the one who put me on the ignore list after attacking me in his gas thread. I am more than willing to talk to anyone, and the person in the middle is not.

To the extent that it means anything at all, this test is not on the axis of liberal to conservative, but the axis of authoritarian to libertarian. It seems entirely plausible that someone could be anywhere in this tested axis, yet have extreme right or left views. Therefore the "liberal airhead" classification at the end of the test should probably read "libertarian airhead."

Which is why I got a liberal stamp 🙂

You are disciplined but tolerant; a true American."

Note that tolerant doesn't mean I agree with all position just that I'm not actively persecuting anyone for not believing as I do. 😉

That's a good point. Certainly I would have been much less surprised to have been called a libertarian airhead.
