please explain to me how this is not a pyramid scheme and how this is legal again? I thought Amway was the same type of business but that went out of business because it was illegal.

It is a pyramid scheme, nobody but a VERY select few makes any money at it, and it is a total waste of your time.

Quixtar IS Amway. They just renamed it. Supposedly, I heard they were going to try and go back to being Amway.

Also named Brit World Wide, founded by Bill Brit (at least here in Ames, IA).
They got a bunch of really slick SOBs who give pretty decent tries at greasing your pole.

it is an interesting program. but amway also makes lots of different products in there factory here in Michigan. lots of cosmetics, soaps and things, and a bunch of other random stuff that gets re-branded. they employ lots of people too. quixstar is kinda like a buyers club, you get to buy the stuff on the website and you get points for it, and you get points for the people that you signed ups stuff too. they actually have some decient prices, and some good products, i really like the XS energy drinks. I am not a person in this, but did live in Grand Rapids, the van andel and devos families are great, they have put a lot of money and effort into western Michigan, building parks, arenas, convention centers etc... they have really kept the region alive after a lot of manufacturing jobs left. they also run a huge foundation that gives money all over the world. i repete, i am not a quixstar person, i have been to there pitches, and i agree it is kinda a scam, but some people do make a little side cash. there are lots of other orginizatoins like this, TEAM, Maxxis ( out of business), and some others. other buyers club type things also contract with quixtar to use there website and buying power for products.

I worked at Amway world headquarters for 3 years when I lived in Grand Rapids. I feel sorry for the people who sign up to become IBOs. It's a horribly evil place.
