Quitting Medal of Honor crashes system

About half the time, after playing, when I click the Quit button, my system freezes. It also occasionally freezes when I am playing online and a new map is loading.

Any ideas?

Win 98, and I have the medal of honor 1.11 patch installed.
I may be switching to winXP soon though.

Any overclocks?

Do you have the latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your system? Do you have the latest video card drivers for your board?

Am I the only one who suspects that at least 2000 of BFG's posts consist of a variant of "Are you overclocking?"😉

Seriously, Dude. You should have that in your sig line so that EVERY post will include it!

I was overclocked to 145x11, but I went back to 133 and I still have the same problem.

I thought I was up to date on drivers, but I'll double-check.

I know I need the 4-in1's and the detonators. Anything else as far as drivers that could cause these lockups?

You'd be surprised how many people around here ask for help without telling anyone that their hardware is overclocked. Then after three pages of troubleshooting it eventually comes out that when they try running at stock speeds the problem disappears.

Update your BIOS my friend. Most people overlook doing this because they don't realise that it's just as important for your system as having the latest chipset drivers.

I had been planning on upgrading to winXP, so I went ahead and did that. I got the latest 4-in-1's and Detonators and haven't had any problems since. I didn't flash the bios yet. Mine's from 2-2002 so I don't know what's new, but I'll check it out.
