I have had the demo to the game for what seems forever and last month digging around on overstock I came across it for $1 YES $1! It is now how ever $2 but to me is still a steal and I am kicking myself in the butt for not buying more of them.
But anyway some of you are like, what ever it cant be the best 4x4 game in the world this guy is smoking crack. Well dont take my word on it and down load the demo RIGHT HERE
and when your done saying to yourself that guy wasnt smoking crack and I got to have this game now, well then go HERE and buy it!

That is not enough for you and you want to race nascar but you dont want a game that is old and out dated? Well how about one that even though it is old will smack the back side HARD of any EA Nascar Title as far as game play and even graphics for that matter and only pay $5 for it!!!! That game is Sierra Nascar racing 2002 season HERE.

Now again your saying this guy is doing nothing but free basing and high on whoppers. Well here, download the demo for it RIGHT HERE and down load Nascar Thunder 2004 HERE and play both. Pay attention to the details like shaddows and the rust coming down the pavement on turn 3. Look at the cars and the sky, heck the entire game and you will thrown your copy of nascar thunder (sorry ea but yours suck and its a shame) out the window and rush to overstock and buy the Sierra version.

And well even if you think I am still high as a kite saying these are the best RACING games out there well you only paid $10 for them so shut up and say thank you for putting together this with links to the demos and the great price!!!!!

Well while you there they have alot of other games worth buying at unbelievable prices. You may as well find another one or more to make the best of your under $3 shipping

A note to xp users and the Screamer 4x4 game.
I should mention how to get it to work if your running XP operating software. It wasnt designed to run on it and will crash if you do not do this:
Install game
Find games .exe and right click
Select compatibility and runit under windows 98
Run a Direct x game (there are three choices)
Select any rez you like BUT ONLY run in 16bit mode. 32 bit will cause it to crash.
Thats it. Runs on my system fine.
Nascar needs nothing and there is a patch to make AI better and more stuff to break like flat tires and such

Im sorry mom. I tried my best in school but you and the old man had to move so many times giving me a new school or two a year so I could never catch up in my studies.
Why do people have to find anything they can crap on just so they can make themselves feel superior to another person??? A pm would of been nice instead of telling the class how much smarter you are and bring up bad memories for me

NP. I am a avid gamer and love to pass on a good deal and this one is really hard to beat. I dont think that screamer can be had anywhere else come to think of it.
I will have to find a demo of the nerf game. I dont usually buy a game untill I demo'd it.

For those of you thinking of buying NASCAR Racing 2002 - I would suggest grabbing the 2003 Version Amazon instead. For a few bucks more you get a game that not only has a tremendous physics engine and awesome graphics (as does the 2002 version), but it also has a TON of MODS you can install including:
Mods for Trucks, Busch, IROC, and Trans Am Cars Each of these has it's own distinct physics engine and the cars handle totally different. While you're at The Pits, they also have an AEROWAR88 mod if you want to drive the old Plymouth Superbirds and Dodge Daytona's from the 1980's as well as a bunch of "Add-on" tracks (including LeMans and Sebring), Utilities, and "Sound Packs." Grab the 1.2.0.1 official game "Patch" while you're there too as you'll need to install it before you install the other MODS.

Now scoot over to The Racing Groove and grab the latest paint jobs for the Nextel Cup and Busch Series

Of course NASCAR now has NEXTEL as the sponsor, so to update all the track graphics from the old WINSTON CUP ones, you'll need to grab THIS file too. This site also has loads of "car files" that people have painted that you can download and place in the game to select as your ride if you don't want to "paint" your own or use the (Yuck) standard one. An additional NEXTEL tweak for the flagman and NASCAR officials can be grabbed HERE at the bottom of the page.

Still want more? Then add an Open Wheel Racing mod to the package and you can run Indy cars on some new tracks. [CAUTION when installing this one - it switches out the sounds (they DO sound different) and is therefore a little tricky to switch back and forth and run this one versus the PWF mods above - so if you have the available hard drive space and want to use this one, consider installing a second copy of the game and running this MOD within it - which is what I did].

There are many other sites dedicated to this game, so the sky is the limit as far as modifying it. NCRACER'S GARAGE and Torn8oalley have good lists of "Links" that you may want to check out.

Oh yeah, you can also race this game online and if you're lucky, you might come across Little E because when he's not racing the Budweiser Chevy in real life. he likes to "SIM Race" online and THIS is the game that he uses. If the physics engine is real enough for him, I'm sure you'll be pleased too! Check out Little E's Web Site and you can even download some trucks painted by Dale Jr. and some of his truck setups. Now how cool is that?

You posted in mine a great find and a cheap price and it needs more coverage then to stick in my thread that has already been read. I really think what you wrote should have its own because it is a great game and the price cannot be beaten with a stick.

Another thing that should be pointed out in this thread is online game play warning.
Don't expect much action with 2002 season. Most have moved on to 2003 season.
Also because it has been replaced, support and addons have also moved on to 2003 season.

Nascar Racing 2002 Season "was" a great online sim, and still is a good single player sim.
But now, most that played this have moved up to Nascar Racing 2003 Season.
Nascar Racing 2003 Season was a huge upgrade to the series, with many new features.
For the best online play you need to have the most users, and 2003 outnumbers 2002 by about 20 to 1.

When Amazon had Nascar Racing 2003 Season priced at $4.99, delivered free, about 6 months ago, that was it for many of the few remaining holdouts running 2002 Season. Soon afterwards, most online venders lowered the price of 2003 season to $5 - $7.
