Are you open to alternative methods? My buddy did one that worked pretty well:
First, you need a sponsor who is available 24/7 to call.
Second, you need half a dozen jugs of unsweetened white grapefruit juice (pretty gross stuff).
Third, you chuck everything smoking-related you have. Ash trays, cigarettes, posters, keychains, anything.
Fourth, every time you feel like smoking, you drink a full 8oz of the nasty juice.
Fifth, when the craving hits hard, you call your sponsor. I was my buddy's sponsor & sometimes he'd call at 8am. I just kept telling him to drink his juice lol.
Do that for a couple weeks & see how you fare! The idea is the same as Pavlov's dogs, where he would ring a bell, feed them snacks, and eventually they got so conditioned that they would drool whenever a bell rang. Same deal for people-brains...when your bell gets rung & you really want to smoke, you change your association (over time) from something good (feeling better from smoking) to something bad (nasty juice).
Cigarettes are hard because they're an invisible sugar addiction, which is why people get so addicted to them & don't even want to quit. It can screw with your blood sugar, which has a very powerful physiological effect in terms of really NEEDING it. Most people have no idea that cigarettes even have sugar:
Very few smokers know there is sugar added to cigarettes, a new survey suggests.

Cigarettes are up to 20% sugar:
Nictotine also screws with your blood sugar levels. Whereas food takes up to 20 minutes between eating & spiking, nicotine works in seconds:
Some quit smoking symptoms can be minimized or eliminated including headaches, an inability to concentrate or brain fog, dizziness, and time perception distortions.

It takes a few days of going cold turkey for your blood sugar response to even out, which are really hard because you're literally having withdrawls & your body is straight-up finding you. But drink your nasty juice every time you have a craving, use your sponsor as often as humanly possibly for support, and see if that does the trick!
