This is ridiculous. There are big ass signs before the ramp telling truckers to slow down. This is not the first time a hog truck overturned on this ramp!

Pigs bound for an abattoir enjoyed a brief reprieve this morning when their truck overturned at Highway 427 and the eastbound Gardiner Expressway, one of the GTAs busiest corners. Five dozen pigs wandered on the highway around 4:30 a.m., before the sun was up.
Ontario Provincial Police are on the scene and the freed pigs have now been corralled. Another truck was called and has since hauled them away to their final destination (and when we say final, we mean final).
The OPP said in a statement:

At about 4:25 a.m., on Monday, October 4th, 2010 a transport-trailer truck loaded with approximately 250 swine was southbound on Highway 427 approaching the exit to the eastbound Gardiner Expressway. The truck entered the ramp and rolled onto its right side. The driver was not injured. A small number of swine were killed in the collision and some were injured to the extent that required on-site euthanasia. Approximately 50 swine escaped from the truck but were quickly penned and were prevented from wandering away. These were slowly transferred to another swine truck, as were the others that remained in the original truck, for transportation to their ultimate destination, the abattoir.
Traffic, however, is expected to be affected until at least noon. The 26-year-old driver has been charged with careless driving, according to the OPP.
