Quieting ANY HSF

i remember reading this article back when it came out. and was extremely impressed with how good these noise reduction products worked. however, i haven't heard anything about it since then. has anybody heard/seen any of this stuff in america yet? seems kinda pricey to start with, and getting it shipped from europe makes it even pricier.

For the HSF, you can just go to any crafts shop, or check the office supplies section of your local store - one of them should carry small rubber/cork sticker feet. If the rubber or cork is too tall, just shave it down.

You could also just get some cork sheet and use contact cement to glue it down. Home Depot and others carry 1ft square cork sheet, though it may come in a pack of 4.

So you just take 4 little rubber stoppers and stick them under your processor socket? Will this cause any damage to your motherboard circuits and will it cause any extra heat? If its really that easy and effective, I may try it on my noisy Thermaltake Volcano 6cu+
