QUIETEST 60mm fan for a HSF

I need to find a VERY quiet 60mm fan to replace my jet engine Delta fan on my 6035D. Also want good cooling, but this jet engine has to stop.

What is the quietest fan I can get..and where can I order it from?

You could always use a 31cfm Thermaltake fan. It's still kinda loud, but eliminates the whine while delivering good cfm.

Be carefull not to put low rpm fans on heatsinks with a lot of surface area, high performance heatsinks are ment for high performance fans.

Went through the same problem after purchasing a Delta 60x60x38mm "hairdryer" fan... was too damn loud. I kept my SK6 and AS2 config on the XP1700+ but got this instead ( was in quick need of a quiet and immediate solution so I walked in and bought it for $20 bucks and although it seems misadvertised with the header/title on the webpage, those specs and picutre of that cooler are exactly what I bought and it worked flawlessly). Took the fan off the heatsink (now a paper weight) and found out it was a YS-Tech fan that is made exclusively for CompUSA. I cannot remember exactly what model it says since it's attached to blow into the SK6 and the model number is on the heat sink side. I just remember it being 4500RPM as stated in CompUSA packaging and it was supposed to have around 27-33CFM if I remember correctly (looked it up on their website to see if I could've purchased that exact model elsewhere and I was curious as to the CFM of this fan). The fan is quiter than my case fans (which are CompUSA also since my other ones died shortly after that and the XP CPU needs a cool case so I have 3 case fans and an Antec PCI cooler just underneath my GF3Ti200 to remove heat from that along with stock HS/F from GF3Ti200 and on the KT266a chipset from Epox). Basically I would recommend that fan (find that exact packaging as is pictured with those exactly worded specis) and don't use the heatsink that comes with it. Hard to believe I can run an XP CPU at full load to 43C with the case fans being the loudest part of my rig (with 9 fans in the case... two more in 350Watt Powersupply) and no use of an Alpha PAL 8045.

True, but my AMD retail HS's run perfectly with those fans installed (1800+'s, non OC'd).
