quiet power supply

hi.. i quickly searched for any posts on this, but didn't find anything.. anyway, my 300W power supply (i forget the brand.. and i'm at school right now) is so loud, it sounds like a hairdryer. what's a good, solid, quiet power supply? it seems like "premade" computers from HP or dell have quiet power supplies.. what kinds do they use? 😛 u can only hear a low "whirring" noise, but nowhere near the jet engine caliber of mine.

thanks in advance,
kevin

PS: any experience with these? power supplies from circuit city i want to use my MSN dollars 😀

It's hard to tell what's in an oem machine although dell makes alot of their own psu's. They are usually not up to the task of a high performance pc or any pc in my mind.

I use sparkle and antec true power psu's and they are very quiet and efficient for me.
