Quiet Mouse Review

Only two buttons + scroll wheels? That's a bit bare for many people nowadays.

I've personally found that:
- the MS mice tend to have silent scroll wheels, but no tactile scrolling ("clicky"-feeling scrolling)
- the Logitech mice have noisy scroll wheels, but the most tactile sensation
- the Razer mice have silent scroll wheels, but somewhat less tactile sensation than a Logitech (mushier/heavier feeling scrolling). The left/right mouse buttons are still just as loud as any other typical mouse.

I find this hilarious. A quiet mouse so they review some generic looking POS?

It's a HID (Human Interface Device - not the blue looking bulbs in some cars 😉 ) for crying out loud. It only makes noise when you USE it. What's next, muffle pads for seats to quiet farts?

read the article. basically for people who work late at night in the bedroom while significant other is trying to sleep. niche marketing, but i'm sure somebody is looking for this stuff.

Um, it IS some generic POS. Typically, "manufacturers" of quiet mice just buy a generic mouse from some factory in China and modify them to be quiet. Other than Quietmouse, they only silent mice I'm aware of are Thanko (only available in Japan), Buffalo (Japan), and "the Silent Mouse" (only in the UK).

Some people don't like clicks in their mice; I don't see a problem in offering a product that appeals to a certain crowd, particuarly when there's profit in it.

what they should do is make a foam covered mouse for all the FPS gamers who play late at night when everyone in the house is sleeping. That way when you throw the mouse at the monitor screen because some idiot team-killed you for the seventh time it wont damage the monitor or make any noise. (joking).

But an ex-girlfriend used to get very passive aggressive when I would be up late gaming when she was trying to sleep. Mouse clicks, keyboard clicks, monitor brightness and fan noise can make it tough to fall asleep. More due to the irregular timing of mouse and key click noise. Even the scroll wheel on my mouse makes a good bit of noise as each ratchet click resonates in the plastic shell.

My question exactly. Now KEYBOARDS, those can be loud. Like the 6-year old MS Wireless Desktop Elite KB I'm using. This sucker is loud. It's impossible to type quietly on it, even if you press one_key_at_a_time. *CLACK_CLICK_CLACK_CLICK*
