I have an XP1800+ which is currently cooled by the Thermaltake Silent Viking. The Silent Viking is a Volcano 7 with a lowrpm Everflow fan producing 21dB of noise. Personally I love this one since it's quiet and at the same time offers good cooling. IMO the heatsink is excellent, probably one of the best on the market. The generic fan provided is not very good though. I think that this one is much better.
I've only seen this one in stores in Europe.
Now the Silent Viking II is out offering even better performance.

Personally, I must say that if the Viking II is as good as the Viking I, I would definately call this a strong contender for those who want to build a silent high performance system. It will probably not be a choice for those who want to overclock though.

I think that this HSF combo is nordic or at least european.
Anyone with experience, good or bad from this product? Other comments?

I have no idea, but the Silent Viking II looks sweeet. However, it looks like the SVI is much cheaper (I don't know the currency, so I'm just assuming), so I would go with the SVI because their specs are exactly the same.

Sorry.

I should have translated the currency. 9 SEK = 1 euro = 1 $

They seem to have the same Everflow fan. The heatsink is different though. The SV II is rated for 2800+.

Sincerely

Matt
