Quiet high end video card?

I have a htpc/game PC with a 6800GS 256mb and a zalman vf700 vga cooler, its decent from the noise level.

Are there any decent high end video cards that are semi quiet?

I'm betting that the answer is "no". Any stock HSF combo on most newer high-end cards is going to be a vacuum cleaner. You need to get some aftermarket cooling in order to make GPU's quiet these days.

I thought the 8800 series is quiet quiet, especially when you turn down the fan speed. Should be at least a 4x boost in performance.

Also depends on if you're using the card in 3D more or not. If not the fan won't spin up as much.
