Their decibel ratings are off as well, but I use their fans with every build. SPCR states, "the quietest 80mm ever encountered." Many here will bash this company and their dba ratings are questionable to say the least, but what I do know is that I have owned many of their fans and while they are not truly 14dba's they are without a doubt the quietest fans I have ever owned. Yates are praised on the silent pc front, but the ones you can find online all seem to have such low cfm's although I do know they make fans with higher cfm ratings. I would seriously look at Nexus (rebranded yates) and SilenX if you are concerned about silence. I have never had a 92mm SilenX, but the 80mm's have ZERO motor noise up to ~2400rpm and the 120mm's start their motor hum around ~1600. Pricey fans though 🙂 I got my SilenX 80mm's 14dba with the thermistor, cut the thermistor off, and used a 3.3 resistor to reconnect to get it at 2500rpm. Its motor is dead silent at 2500rpm, but ofcourse you can hear the "swoosh" of air at this speed. I think they normally run around 1800~2000.
