Quiet Cooling recommendation needed

I tried Arctic Silver 5 and now Shin Etsu on stock HSF but my temps are nearing 60c during game play. The two 120mm Antec fans during game play are so freaking loud I cannot hear my audio. (Antec SLK-3700-BQE case).

Any fan recommendations to keep this case quiet and/or system cooler?

thx

Mogh

Specs in sig.

LOL, if I had known I had to keep the case open or spend over $200 on water cooling I think I would have never made the switch from Intel to AMD. None of my Intel rigs have this issue or did I just believe the Antec hype and there are better low cost fans and cases that would handle this issue better.

A lot of people would say "Zalman 7000a AlCu", but i went with that and i dont really like it. I wish i woulda gone for something like the TT Venus 12 for about the same price...

U can pick the Zalman up for about $30 (it's not too bad, and it is pretty quiet)
or the TT Venus 12 for about $35

I am thinking if I can get load temps in the 40s the 120mm fans will be much quieter. What are your temps with this config?

I know this doesn't help you now, but the Winchester core's run cooler than the Newcastles. (Another bonus point for S939)
I would get an all copper heat sink for best cooling results. Heavier than the AlCu ones though if that is a concern.
If the fans are too loud, buy quieter ones. Also, you can buy nice high quailty headphones. Fan noise wouldn't be a problem when gaming then.

I heard the difference was just a few degrees. As for the fans who do you recommend? Everyone seems to recommend Antec but both of my Antec fans are unusually loud compared to my cheap 80mm fans in my Intel P4P800 2.8ghz Northwood CPU stock HSF system . (its temp 30c in use but not heavy load)

I wish I can get that cool and quiet with AMD but its not happening no matter what I have done so far.

Here is the Copper HS I was talking about. I don't personally have it, but it supposedly is one of the best and very quiet.
ZALMAN

Here are 2 fans that are very quiet while maintaining good air flow.
Vantec Stealth
Antec

Try these. I believe you will be much happier.

I was just looking at the Thermaltake Venus on New Egg when I saw your post. I will have a look at the Zalman to.

For the Zalman you want an -AlCu model like this not the -Cu pure copper model. The -Cu is much heavier and is only a tiny bit cooler.

What exact model of 120mm Antec fans are these? Incidentally, if your temps are hitting near 60C, do check to ensure that Asus Q-Fan is disabled in the BIOS.
