quiet - cool

For under $200, who makes the most thermally efficient yet quiet midsize case? Aluminum or steel, without a built in power supply?

Thanks, I should have mentioned that I don't like the trendy cases with side windows etc.

I'm leaning toward the Antec P-160 and dragging the Tsunami Dream or whatever (that word has sure taken on a greater meaning for me - I'm uncomfortable using it) along as a second candidate. Most of the Lian Li less expensive cases tend to have 80 size fans and I'm trying to avoid them.

doors are ok I have a Sonata now. As for the 3000B, I have a "plain" black case now and wanted to add a little pizzazz - real pizzazz with the p160, some with the thermaltake.

I have that case (1080 variant) and love it but it uses 5 80 mm fans, he may be better off getting a case with 120s as they rev slower and are quieter.

Mine are all on a fanbus on low so very quiet and he could do that too.

I also but some acustic matting in the case.

Thanks again all - had'nt really considered coolermaster - thought maybe they weren't considered competitive with folks like Antec, Thermaltake, Lian Li ---- although, from looking at pictures of different cases on NewEgg I wondered if some of the basic boxes are all made by the same folks.

Both the P160 and Tsunami have lots of cheap plastic on them, if you want a quality AL/steel case look at Lian Li Coolermaster and SilverStone. If I were to buy a new case I think it would be this.
