I am looking for some quiet case fans for my new system i recently built. Does anyone know of any 80 mm case fans that are extremely quiet that blow a good ammount of air?

If anyone knows of any that would be great if you could help me out.

The vantec stealth 80mm's, or, even better, the zalmans with the speed reducing thing they come with. And the zalmans are super cheap too.

yep, can't argue with the panaflo's, they used to be too expensive, but it seems they have gotten cheaper.

Hmm looks awsome. The Panaflow looks really nice, but i didn look at the Zalman fans and the Vantec "stealth". They all look really strong. The thing that has me leaning towards the Panaflow is thea

"With a fluid dynamic bearing (liquid filled), the Panaflo 12L fan offers the lowest noise per unit air flow without sacrificing reliability"

sounds pretty promising. I'll do my research. If you find anything else, let me know

Thanks alot guys

You may also want to invest in a nice inexpensive fan controller (~$25) so you can slow down or max out your case fans with the simple turn of a knob (controlling up to 4 fans with one device), there are both 5.25" and 3.5" models so you're very likely to have some room for one.

I just installed an 80mm Vantec Thermoflow in one of my machines and it is quiet! You can't hear the thing from 1 foot away! And since it is thermally-controlled (temperature controls the speed of the fan), it blows just the right amount of air at all times! Highly recommended (cheap too!)

While reading some other forums, I found out that some people who had used many quiet fans prefer certain other fans over the Panaflo. They've mentioned the SilenX, the Sharkoon, and the Noiseblockers. I heard that there was one SilenX rated at 14/28. Now if that's true, that's insanely good :)

<--Has only used a Panaflo.

HAHA nice i just found that same site and all...the thing about SilenX is that they are 12 bux each! I could get like 3 or 4 Panaflo's for that much. If noonecan find a link w/ them cheaper then I am going to have to go with the Panaflo.

Once again, thanks for everyones input

Heh, the panaflo's I bought were like $60 for 5. The fans I'm using now were $30 each... silence costs money... how quiet do you wanna go?

I dunno. I wanna go pretty quiet. Because when i go to college next year, im going for graphic design so I'll be on my computer all the time and i dont want it to be loud at all so i can be on it at night if my room-mate wants to go to bed.
