Many SilenX bashers in this forum, but I recommend them strongly. They are expensive, but cannot be beat by anything out there for their cfm/dba ratio. Many will say that dba ratings are different for all fan manufacturers and this is true, but Silenx's dba ratings are as true as they come. I have the Tsunami and 2 120mm 58cfm 14dba fans. Those Yate's just dont push enough cfm's for an overclock in my opinion, but are inexpensive. If you dont OC then I suggest the 11dba Silenx's @ 40cfm's
I've never used a SilenX fan but I'm going to call bull $hit on this. There is no way a 1600 rpm fan is going to be QUIETER AND PUSH MORE AIR than a 1350 rpm Yate Loon. Sounds like SilenX is testing db's using some BS method.
According to the
Yate Loon web site, the fans I listed are rated at 1350 rpm, 40.0 cfm, and 28 dB.
The
SilenX 120 mm fan is rated at 1600 rpm, 58 cfm, and 14 dB.
I'd love to learn the physics behind this black magic
Try again.
