i have 3 systems 2 desktops and one lappy,

internet in to modem out to router(netgear rt314) then out to the desktops,

the system down stairs i made wireless so i can float about with the lappy

works great-but i can t see the desktop up stairs and vice versa, im running xp pro

on all rigs, i think its an ip prob, do i have to manually change the ip on one of the desktops?

Check to make sure that all the IPs are on the same subnet (Example 192.168.1.x). If all the computers are on the same IP subnet and you can surf the Internet well leave the IPs alone.

Otherwise, successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed to be shared.

thanks my friend, its probably something i haven t checked off

im great at overclocking these lil boogers but this is my first whack

at trying to get all of them to play nice with each other
