Quicktime hasseling me

I installed quicktime recently, since when trying to view this one site, it said I needed to install it. (the little banner at the top of firefox stated it was needed to properly display the site.)

Problem is now that all flash things on websites, including a crapload of the website itself, is replaced by broken quicktime boxes. Any suggestions?

my guess is that quicktime associated itself with the extentions of these files and since it cant play flash files and the like, it shows that broken filmstrip icon.

Yes yes, uninstall quicktime OR reassociate all those file types with their real applications by opening my computer, clicking Tools, Folder Options, File Types tab

sometimes, just starting the REAL program will reclaim their native extensions

Be sure to open up quicktime and set it's options to not associate with those file types any more.
