Quicktime and Windows XP?

I don't know if this is the place for this thread, but I was wondering if anyone else was having problems running Quicktime 5.0 with Windows XP. My system used to be able to run quicktime movies but since I upgraded from 2000 to XP I have haven't been able to watch trailers, etc. with quicktime and I often get the Blue Screen of Death and have to reboot. Any ideas?

Quicktime 5 works fine with my Windows XP. My XP install was from scratch, not an upgrade. I'm assuming when you say "since I upgraded from 2000 to XP" that means you did an upgrade install from 2k rather than a fresh install on a blank hard drive. Upgrade installations often have problems with apps and/or hardware drivers.

No, I actually deleted and reformatted my hard drive before installing Windows XP fresh. I wonder if Download Accelerator has anything to do with it?

With XP you need 5.02. It works just fine . . . trailers and all! 🙂
