Quickly switching between desktop PC and Macbook laptop

I have a primary desktop PC running Windows 10 with a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse combo that requires a USB dongle. What hardware do I need to quickly dock my Macbook Pro laptop and switch the montior, keyboard and mouse to use with the Macbook?

I'm tired of manually unplugging the HDMI cable and USB dongle from the PC when switching.

You'd need a USB/HDMI KVM.

Be careful, the last time I was looking at KVMs at Newegg, many of the reviews mentioned problems using anything besides separate wired USB keyboards and mice.

I've been using a USB switch to do this, just to connect a USB keyboard and mouse to two machines and switch between them with a button-push. I bought one of these which works fine and was cheap ... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MXXQKGM It doesn't do video, but my monitor has more than one input so it's just a button push to change which machine I'm looking at.

Another option that works slightly differently is software only. . . there's a neat program called Synergy ( https://symless.com/synergy ) that lets you use mouse and keyboard connected to one machine only to control other machines on the same network. Each computer needs its own display (e.g. you would have your laptop powered on using its own screen), but then you can move your mouse between computers in the same way as you would between multiple monitors on a single computer.

If the devices support Logitech Flow, that eliminates the need to do anything about those peripherals. For the monitor, there must be a dock of some sort that could allow you to have both plugged in and then just switch inputs on the monitor.
