Quicklaunch question

is there a way to expand qucklaunch to show more icons in the system bar without having to click the arrow to display that little menu?

its a picky thing, but would be far less annoying for me

Why yes, there certainly is.

Right click anywhere on your taskbar and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar". You'll then see a divider just to the right of the Quicklaunch. Left click that divider and drag it to the right to make the Quicklaunch bigger. Once you're content with the size you can "Lock the Taskbar" if you wish.

Alternatively, you could unlock the taskbar and drag the top of the taskbar up to increase the size of the taskbar vertically. This will achieve your goal while increasing the real estate of the overall taskbar at the same time.
