weights better than aerobic stuff ? I want to hear more...

I can tell you this - riding a stationary bike for about 30 minutes for me burns 300+ calories. Does lifting with rests for 30 minutes really burn that much ?

As you workout more and more your anaerobic will last longer (more glycogen stores) and your aerobic will kick in faster, so you won't die before you get your second wind. This is also why you don't want to run and then lift weights. You will have depleted your glycogen already, and your muscles will have less to fuel the lifting.

If you are trying to do anaerobic running workout why not just do sprints?

My point was that running is considered aerobic excercise, but it does have an anaerobic element to it. I had 30 minute runs in mind.

Muscle burns calories even at rest. You will burn more calories doing the actual exercise if you do an aerobic workout then if you an anaerobic one. However, if you build up muscle mass you will burn more calories over time (The article says that for every 1lb of muscle you burn 50 calories a day - I think it less but who knows)

yes, but if you don't exercise and diet it will come right back.
I know a girl who did lipo on her face and chin/neck, paid 10K for it
and she looks no different now less than a year later, than she did before
she did it.

Point is, she gained it right back because she doesn't work out or eat right.

not appreciably, there simply isn't the potential to add enough muscle there to have that effect. Bodybuilders have tiny waists despite training their abs to death.

OP should be working his abs, just like all his other muscles. The 4 inches of flab sitting on top is far more of a problem than whatever fractional size he might add via muscle. If anything, working the abs will probably help him subconciously hold his stomach tighter during the day and show less of a paunch.

If you really want to lose an assload of weight, do what somebody else said and get a heavy manual labor job, go dig ditches or work at UPS. It's like doing cardio for hours a day.

depends on how hard you run and how hard you jump rope. both are similar muscle strain, so whatever keeps your heart rate higher longer. i suggest running cause jumping rope is tough on the joints and boring for 30 min to an hour

The absolute quickest non-surgical method I've found is a dose of 65mg of MDA and 80mg for MDMA and then dancing to industrial techno for hours and hours.
