I don't like writing with these. They're very comfortable to draft with, and they are probably the smoothest pencil's I've used. But they just don't feel write if I have to write down more than a few words with them.

The Papermate Ultra's are what I'm rocking now. Very nice feel to them, I think. I still prefer the cheap Bic's with the rubber grip to anything else.

I like the zebras for pretty cheap general purpose writing. http://www.zebrapen.com/pencil-m301.html I use them to draft once in a while too, and they are better than most others i have tried. i have a vintage version of this that is all metal that i use when drafting a lot, it is very nice.

I loved my Koh-I-Noor Rapidomatic. Unfortunately the lead tube broke and they don't sell the 0.5mm version anymore. Only 0.7 or 0.3mm. The 0.5mm is the white one.

In terms of just mechanical pencils, I just used the cheapo Bic ones. They were reliable yet expendable. Whatever.

For drafting, I use a Staedtler lead holder. One of the most beautiful mark-making instruments ever invented!

Yeah, I have a whole mess of those exact same lead holders. Need one for HB, 2H, 4H, 6H, ...

EDIT: Holy shit, they have a sharpener in the cap? I never noticed that and I used them for years.
