I've had better luck installing the ATI drivers. It converts my card to the latest ATI model, and I pwn everyone.

Huge performance gain on ATI and Nvidia cards. Have been using them for many years and will never use anything else. Do some tests w/ company drivers and with these and see what improves :).

I remember seeing some benchmarks and the improvements are like 2 fps. Not what I'd call huge. I'd rather just stick to the official drivers without any l337 h@x built in.

Okay I was exaggerating by saying huge, but my experience was greater than 8fps when I started using them, that I remember. Maybe the company drivers have caught up by now, but I still stand by them. Plus they helped me with some games that didn't work with normal drivers for some reason.
