Quick windows95 help

Can ANYONE please forward me to some generic CDrom drivers for win95. I am resintalling it for a friend tommorow, and it needs drivers that can be put on a floppy.
Any help would be super, thank you.

YGM.

Good generic CD-ROM drivers are built in. If not, pick up almost any driver. Smaller is better. The only difference I've encountered is if you have a CDR that can use ATA-66 or ATA-100.

Have you got a Win98 disk? It's got a good generic Oak Technology driver on it. Has always worked for me. Grab the newer MSCDEX.exe too.

You'll find it on your Win 95 disk. You can also do a search for it on your own drive. It's in C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.

Why not do your friend a favor and update him to Win98 SE. No matter what version of Windoze you install, you'll have to go to Windows Update for the critical patchs (HOURS on dial up)>
