Sorry to ask this here but I am mainly a Mac user so I figured id try asking it here first.

Does Windows 7 have anything like, 'Shift-Command-4/Capture a selection to a file' like on the Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts?
 
No keyboard shortcut specifically, but if you hit Start and then type "Snip" it should bring it up.
 
print screen will take shot of the desktop. Then you gotta use paint or something. Snipping tool is better
