One way to do it is to use RegEdit.

1) Go to Run in the start menu and run 'regedit'
2) In the hierarchy go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Run
3) Delete the entries for the applications that you no longer wnat to start at startup.

Hi, Taylorm.

You might find Startup Control Panel at Mike Lin's Web pages to be useful. It functions like a multi-segmented version of the "startup" tab on the MSCONFIG utility in Win98 and WinME, but it's much more versatile. Allows you to disable items temporarily or remove them permanently. It's freeware. Comes in two forms, an executable and a Control Panel applet. I've tested it extensively on Win95, NT4 (SP3 and above) and W2K (with and without SP1). It will handle any "startup" item, other than services, of course, and W2K already has an easy way to deal with those. The utility is absolutely flawless in function.

Regards,
Jim
