This is Microsoft's *official* command for editing the registry. At least on Windows 2000.

FFMCobalt has it right.....(Except the extension). The whole thing is &quot;regedit.exe&quot; ...without the quotation marks. The site maximumpc.com has all of this stuff on it.

Actually, if you just type in &quot;regedit&quot; and leave out the &quot;.exe&quot;, the Windows program &quot;Run&quot; will search, find, and run it anyway. ;)

um, i would use a registry editor that allowed you to undo things.

also, don't forget to export the original just in case.
