Quick voltage question

Well, I overclocked my Athlon 64 3000+ to 2.2Ghz while keeping it at stock voltage and RAM timings, so I'm happy. The only way I can keep it stable, however, is by running the RAM at 2.8 vDIMM. This is the first time I've overclocked using cheaper RAM (usually run OCZ or Corsair in machines I build), and specs say from 2.5-2.7. 2.8 shouldn't hurt it any, should it? I thought most RAM could take 2.9 and 3 anyway.

Nahh...you should be able to run the RAM at 2.8v without any long-term problems. My PC2700 has been running like a champ for 2.8v for over a year now without a hitch.

Like you said, I've seen or heard of people running their RAM at 2.9v or 3.0v, so you'll be fine.

Thanks, just needed some reassurance. I've seem people run their 2-2-2-5 Corsair and what not a 3.3v before (volt mods), so I know people really pump the juice to their RAM. Just didn't know how well mid-grade RAM could take it.
